Hi all!
The title says it all. I usually have my teacm picked so far however I'm having real trouble with these 2. What do you think?

Hmm, not sure, but I've managed to narrow it down to two teams. I think it'll be a two horse race between Denver and Seattle.

I'm hoping it's Denver. I hate that one jerk from Seattle who mouthed off after his team beat the 49ers last weekend, so I want to see that sneer wiped off his conceited face.

it is a difficult call for sure. there are a couple of factors which will determine how the game goes. I personally am hoping for a seahawks victory, mainly because I like the way they play and I think Wilson is gonna be one of the best qb's in the nfl for years to come.

if it is a cold wet day I would also say that will give the advantage to seattle because we all know manning doesn't like playing in cold wet or snowy weather.

I agree with the previous poster about the behaviour of the seattle guy last weekend. I think it was Richard Sherman. trash talking like that is completely unnecessary, but to be fair to him, he did at least back up his mouth.

go seattle!!

I hope everyone reading this board topic will go to the sports challenge page and make a pick. EVERYONE WHO picks the winning team will get a million points. It's a lot of work for those of us who put up the pools, and we like to see lots of people play.

Will do Becky. I'm not sure if you guys heard the interview with Sherman after the fact, but there was an interview with him I heard on the radio. In it he said he was sorry and explained why he acted like that. He realizes he got carried away. I agree with what you are saying to an extent, but I'm sure players have said worse. I'm not condoning the way he acted because I do find it unnecessary to trash talk players when you've all ready proved your abilities on the field. I think there was also some beef between him and Crabtree beyond that game itself. I'm going to try and find the interview and post it here. But in regards to the game and who I think will win, I always go with the better defense. In this case I'm voting for Seattle. I feel confident that the defense will do a great job of restricting Manning in the passing game because of their solid secondary, but at the same time Russell Wilson and the offense has to step it up a notch and get points as much as possible.

All of you have good points! I agree though the trash talking isn't cool. That's why I'd like to see the smirk go away as a poster put it lol..I'm so voting in the pool!

Denver all the way. Manning is overdue for a ring, and he pretty much destroyed everyone this season, so to see him go down in the last game would be pretty sad.

I'm hoping Denver wins. Manning was my quarterback for one of my fantasy football teams this year, and it's mainly because of him that I won my league. So I'm pulling for him all the way.

As of right now my pick is the seahawks but who knows it could change! Denver's good though, if I remember correctly they beat the steelers in the superbowl but I could be wrong on that.

Denver started the season out very strong, and I thought they might have a chance to go undefeated. But of course that didn't last. But I still think, and hope, they can win on Sunday.

I'm for Seattle for no good reason except they are as close to a home team as we Portland people are gonna get. But, who am I kidding? I know scarce little about football, I'll be at the grill for part of the game, and the wife hasn't picked a team this year.

Since I'm a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan I'm going with the Denver Broncos to win the souper bowl! I definitely wasn't surprised to see Denver heading to the souperbowl especially after the season that they had this year. I voted in the sports challenge pool, too! Good luck to everyone who made their picks. Let's go Broncos!!! :)

I'm posting this just after the game. I can't believe it! I feel like that wasn't a game it was a slaughter! I mean wow! I had a feeling Seattle would win but not by that much! 43 to 8 Seattle.

I peeked at the game just to see what the score was, and yeah, it appears Denver just kind of flopped around a bit and didn't put up much resistance.

Post 16 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Monday, 03-Feb-2014 8:59:20

I rooted for Denver so am disappointed they lost. But even more than that, I don't care who you root for, no one should be happy to see a game called the Super Bowl end up like that. You put the two best teams in the country together, and it should be a close game.

How could a team that broke a record for scoring the most points in one season just roll over and play dead in the Super Bowl?

Post 17 by Runner229 (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 05-Feb-2014 15:53:57

I completely agree. I think that's why a lot of people rooted for Denver, because they had the most points of the season, but I believe that defenses win games. And Seattle clearly had the better defense. I've never seen Paton struggle like that before. On Facebook I put that it was a result of the Manning curse that was passed on from Eli. It should have been closer though.

Post 18 by UniqueOne (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Friday, 07-Feb-2014 22:26:23

Agreed, should've been much closer.
